About us

Chambaproducts.com is aimed at enabling the SHGs and entrepreneurs of Chamba District to have access to the market both domestic/national and international. Through this platform we aim at opening up avenues for marketing the products of the self-help groups and establish their linkages with potential buyers, apart from publicizing and creating awareness regarding quality, prices, and usefulness of the products.

The web portal is a DRDA Chamba initiative under the Vanabandhu Kalyan Yojana scheme launched by Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, for the welfare and development of tribal. The program aims at creating environment for need based and outcome oriented holistic development of tribal people.

To provide qualitative and sustainable employment of tribal and promotion of their cultural heritage, DRDA felt for the need of an online portal to host products manufactured/produced by the tribal craftsman and artisans. The need for the web portal, led to brainstorming sessions, and ecommerce platform chambaproducts.com, brain child of the DRDA Chamba, originated for the benefit of target groups.

The ecommerce portal is a platform for the promotion of made in Chamba products, which are of high quality and of rich cultural heritage. Every products will speak volumes about the cultural richness of the land. This ecommerce portal supports, marketing, sales of the products, which ensures artisans earns due reward for the hard efforts , which they were denied off till now and also promotes conservation of the Tribal Cultural Heritage.
